Mout & Hout

— Every dish at Mout & Hout is a story by itself. A tribute to traditional BBQ with a modern twist

Dining at Mout & Hout is more than just food. It is an experience. The gentle crackle of fire, the sizzle of meat on the grill, the hum of expectant conversation. Everything contributes to the lively atmosphere that defines Mout & Hout. The air here is thick with anticipation, excitement and the earthy aroma of smouldering wood. This is where stories are shared, friendships are forged and, above all, delicious food is served.

LOCAL, FRESH AND PURE

At MOUT & HOUT, we believe in the power of local ingredients and traditional craftsmanship. We work closely with local farmers and producers who, like us, value quality, animal welfare, and sustainability.

Our meat comes from Lindenhoff in Baambrugge, Het Brabantse Hei in Hooge Mierden, and the exclusive Vessem local beef from Mieke van de Pas. These animals graze freely in natural surroundings and are fed with brewers’ grains – a nutritious by-product from brewing our own Beerze beer. That same brewers’ grain is also used in our homemade bread, allowing us to close local cycles and minimize waste.

Seasonally, we also serve goat lam from a local farmer in Vessem – a pure, flavorful product that supports a varied and sustainable menu.

Our kitchen is all about craftsmanship: slow-smoked meats over Dutch wood, seasonal vegetables, and freshly prepared sides. Everything is made daily in-house, and our Beerze beer is served straight from the tap – it doesn’t get any fresher than that.

On Saturdays and Sundays, our dinner menu is available from 12:00 PM. And on Sundays from 4:00 PM, our wood-fired pizza oven is lit for Pizza Sunday – artisanal pizzas made with local ingredients and baked over real fire.
When making a reservation, please let us know whether you’ll be joining us for our Wood-Fired BBQ or Pizza Sunday, so we can prepare our kitchen accordingly.

At MOUT & HOUT, honesty, transparency, and craftsmanship are at the heart of everything we do – in the kitchen, on the plate, and in the partnerships with our local suppliers.
